I began having left wrist pain by constant over extension. I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis and was told that cortisone injections would give me relief. From past experiences with other cortisone shots, I felt this would only be a temporary fix so I researched Prolotherapy as a possible solution. I started seeing Dr. Kramer and had a series of seven appointments to the affected area. While it brought me quite a bit of relief I decided to go to Mayo Clinic to see if there was possibly a bone spur involved with the pain. After examination and x-ray I was told the remedy was either cortisone shots or fusing three bones, which would limit range of motion of my wrist.
I returned to see Dr. Kramer with the x-rays from Mayo. Review of these helped him zero in on the exact spot to treat and after three more treatments of Prolotherapy my wrist felt much better. For me, the healing process wasn’t instantaneous but continued over time. As it takes time for the problem to occur, it also takes time to heal.
I appreciated the prayers Dr. Kramer said before each treatment, and knew that he had my recovery at his utmost concern. He truly wants his patients to get back to their normal routines, and with Prolotherapy, he helps the body heal itself. He also gave me advice on supplements that would help with the healing process. Thank you Dr. Kramer for letting me continue in my active lifestyle as I continue to enjoy retirement and working out at the gym.
