I was a practicing Registered Nurse (RN) for 40 years and with my job I walked on cement floors all that time as well as did a lot of lifting, pushing and pulling of heavy equipment. I began my career with I was 19 and by the time I was 59 I was experiencing severe bilateral knee pain, had two bulging discs at L4 and L5 and injured my right shoulder due to a fall I had in my home. I followed the “usual” protocol including cortisone shots to both knees, elevation of my legs and knee support stockings to help with swelling. My local orthopedic surgeon told me I was not a candidate for knee replacement surgery because of two episodes of DVT in my legs. This left me to search other options for help with my pain.
My husband heard Tom Blair, North Dakota radio personality, interview Dr. Kramer on the radio regarding Prolotherapy. After that interview I called and made an appointment to see Dr. Kramer. I had several Prolotherapy treatments to the affected areas on my body. I now have no pain in either of my knees and ahve resumed much of the usual activity I used to do. Periodically I return for treatment to my lumbar area and afterward I tell my husband, “I feel like I’m 16-years-old again”. I have osteoarthritis to most of my body joints, and it continues to worsen as I age, but knowing that I can be comfortable with Prolotherapy helps me emotionally and physically to keep living the life I live.
Thanks Dr. Kramer for being there for us people who are not candidates for conventional surgeries!
