What are regenerative biologic treatments?
Regenerative biologic treatments promote the repair response of diseased, dysfunctional, or injured tissue using injections of signaling cells. These signaling cells and tissue products increase the body’s own ability to heal and regenerate. The treatment is used to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and improve function.
How does it work?
Regenerative biologic injections at our clinic use human cell and tissue products from the umbilical cord Wharton’s jelly tissue to stimulate healing. Wharton’s jelly, the material around the umbilical cord vessels, is rich in growth factors, cytokines, scaffolding proteins, hyaluronic acid, pathway signaling molecules, and medicinal signaling cells. When injected into damaged areas the body’s natural healing ability is stimulated. The complex rally of many cells, growth factors, proteins, and molecules help aid the regenerative process and awakens the bodies healing response. Dr. Kramer uses this sophisticated treatment to replenish what the body needs for repair where the body needs it.
Is it safe?
Yes. The human cell and tissue products used at our office have been carefully sourced and screened using regulated processes at a registered lab. Extensive research and careful selection has been done to determine the products used in our office meet the highest standards of excellence, integrity, sterility, and preservation. Dr. Kramer will review the risks associated with any type of medical treatment before you begin.
What conditions can be treated by regenerative biologics?
Regenerative biologic treatments are best for musculoskeletal problems including arthritis, degenerative joint disease, degenerative disks and other pain problems.
